Description/Notes: One of the four waterfalls in Swallow Falls State Park. Consult the park website for more information about the park itself. This is my personal favorite in the park, but while most people prefer the thundering power that the larger falls possess, I am more appreciative of the gentle rush and subtle colors of smaller falls like Tolliver. The park appears to be trying to discourage visiters from hiking the few hundred feet from Swallow Falls and the park road for some reason (a wooden rail blocks the trailhead and the trail is unmaintained), probably because this location is small and the possibility of erosion rather large. If you must visit it, locate the fence rail blocking a trail immediately to the left of the stairs down to Upper Swallow Falls, and hike downhill to the stream that crosses the road on a stone bridge. You'll notice the stream when you drive in, but please do not hike from the road.
